Merry Christmahannukahnewyears!

"Congratualtions Cassie Brodsky! You've won a 4 day, 3 night cruise to the Bahamas!!!....."

It was too good to be true... Oh well. I got that message yesterday only to find out that it was basically a scam. They get you to the Bahamas and they drop you off for 3 days and make you stay in a really, really crappy hotel and tell you that "for a small fee" you can upgrade. And there are all these other fees and hidden charges that come along with it. Whatever...

Besides almost winning a cruise, a lot of other things are going on. Im getting ready to leave for Arizona on Monday. Ill be gone till the 28th. Ill be visiting an Aunt and Uncle on one side of the family and grandparents on the other side. And both sides are having more family fly in. We leave out of Atlanta Tuesday morning.  Sure, Im excited, but I will miss Tristan so much... I guess there will be many more Christmas' with him, but its still depressing when you dont have the one you love with you on that day.

My grandmother on my mom's side is very Italian. Shes gonna be there visiting the Aunt and Uncle mentioned earlier. We're gonna have the big italian dinners... and the italian tradition of fish on Christmas.  Plus while Im there Ill hopefully get to spend time with one of my cousins, who I think if we lived closer to eachother, we'd be closer. Shes only a year older than me.

My aunt and uncle who I always visit in NC are gonna visit the grandparents on my dad's side of the family. And of course, there will be a ton of food there. The interesting thing about that side of the family is that they are Jewish. So we'll be celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah there. Potato latkes, driedles, menorahs.... if you have no clue what all that is- you're totally missing out.

Well, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!! Ill be home for new Years, but I probably wont write till after that, so Happy New Year too!!!

((Hey, this is the last entry of the year!!!!!!! Thinking back to life exactly one year ago, I remember that things were very, very different. Different in an awesome way, of course))

sad news:

Heya peeps!
Im gonna be busy this week. My mom's friend from NY, ANgela is in town and we are gonna be taking her all over the place! Downtown, to a comedy show, the light show, the aquarium, some symphony thing.... So dont be suprised if I dont write for a while! Ive got some sad news:

Sam, crowned the 'World's Ugliest Dog' for three years in a row at the Sonoma-Marin Fair, is shown in Santa Barbara, Calif., on June 28, 2005. The pooch with the hairless body, crooked teeth and sparse tuft of hair atop his knobby head died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, just short of his 15th birthday, according to his owner, Susie Lockheed.

Let us all take a moment of silence in loving memory of Sam, the World's Ugliest Dog.

:}

Well, Thanksgiving was really great.... There were a few things that couldve made it better, but for the most part, it was sooo much fun. My Grandmother adores Tristan and says that he can come out to AZ any time he wants. Hahaha...
This week has been CRAZY. Kimberly probably has it crazier, but those IM practices are so time consuming! Every day there is something going on, plus practice at night. I like doing it, but Im scared to death to be on that stage. Wish me luck this weekend.
Next week my moms friend from NY is coming down to visit for a week. We are going to be doing something or going somewhere every single day. Downtown, to a comedy show, to see a symphony, to the aquarium, to the festival of lights....blah blah blah... Ill be t-i-r-e-d.
Ive got places to go, so adios!!! Have a great day!

gobble gobble

Hey...
I know that things are about to get crazy again and who knows when Ill write.
Tomorrow Im going down to the Aquarium to watch the old bride get blown up from their balcony. Then Ill get my raspberry mocha latte from Wholly Cow...MMMMM.
This weekend will be nuts too. Im too lazy to go into detail with all that.
Then next Tuesday Im leaving for NC to visit my Aunt and Uncles for Thanksgiving. Tristan is coming!! He'll get to meet some more of my family! He's already been with my Aunt and Uncle and their family a bajillion times...
So Im thinking that sometime after Thanksgiving, Ill get to write again.

Happy Turkey Day!!!

NEW ENTRY!!?!?! WAHHHHHHH!??!?!?!?!

tumbleweed... tumbleweed....

Yep, I know. I havent written in FOREVER. Soooorrrrrryyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!
Things have been pretty great! Heres some stuff that has happened since I last wrote:

I went camping-

That was an AWESOME weekend. Fishing, crabbing, climbing up to the top of that lighthouse.....

I went to my Aunt's in NC for the Rennaicanse Festival-
(riding on my Uncles motorcycle)

My grandparents came up for a few days from FL b/c of Wilma. We went shopping, went out to eat....Tristan got to
hang out with them a bunch.... I love being with them. And dont let the sweet look on my grandmothers face fool you. If, for example, she walks into a room that smells, she'll say with her NY accent, "It smells like sh#@ in here!". Gotta love her... My grandfather is the same way, except he just says everything LOUDER.

My grandmother says she doesnt like "how skinny my face looks" in this picture. She grabbed my cheeks and told me to fatten up. Haha....

Judgement House-

(Shana looks like she's grabbing Cha Cha's butt)

The happy couple... :) ....very happy.....

wasted? hahaha....

So there are a few highlights of September/October. There were so many other things that went on. I just cant remember them all.
Last night I went to the fair with the fam and Tristan. We met the Mizzells there and we walked around with them for a little while. I had alot of fun, but by the end of the night- I was really stinkin cold!!!!
Anyway,
Im going to try to write here more often. I guess things just got crazy/I was REALLY lazy. (It's more of the latter) Ill try though.

Ta Ta!!!!!!!!!!!

Hunting Island

Hey!
There's been a lot going on... but at the same time, not really.
Almost everyday there's something going on.
Me and my family are going camping at
hunting island next weekend. There's fishing, crabbing, the beach, nature trails, a lighthouse...its gonna be SO fun.
It'll be:

-My family (plus the 2 dogs)
-The Mizzells
-My Aunt and Uncle and cousins
-The Scarberrys
-Tristan and maybe Chasity

The personalities mixed in that list are going to be HILARIOUS to watch. I really can't wait.

Through about 20 billion emails about this trip, Mike said something like "...Tristan has to sleep out with the dogs..." and Tristan said "Why do I have to sleep with the dogs?"

This was Mike's answer:

Tristin... I'm sorry dude... but if you are gonna date/see/talk to MY niece, you gotta go through "the trials".

Ya see Son, (here comes the "fatherly" talk) Ifn you ever get married, (not sayin I'd let you marry Cas)
You gotta learn to sleep in the dog house sometimes...
Oh, and after you get married, when you walk in the bathroom and she says, "Does this dress make me look fat? Tell me the truth, I can take it"  The only advice I can give you that would make and sense is...  RUN!!!!

It is a LOADED question!!! NOMATTER WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE WRONG!!!!
Ifn, you say "No dear you look great" Her response will be along these lines...
YOU ARE A LIAR!!!   I should have listed to my Dad and ditched you YEARS ago!!"
Which this would be the point in time then she kicks you out the house (this is when you and the dog will spend "quality" time together) burys her head in the pillow and cries for 2 days...

Ifn you say "Well honey, you are looking a little thick around the mid section these days"
At this point you will need to make 2 calls.
Call number 1. Army. Call the army  You WILL need reinforcenents. DO NOT CALL ME OR
MARK!  We WILL not bail you out!!
Call number 2. after she has defeated the 4 platoons of army men, 2 squads of navy seals, and gaggls of Marines that show up at the door to rescue you, you should have already called 911.
Not for the police to show up.. No sir! for the coroner... To scrape up what is left of your bloody carcass and put you in a 1 quart ziplock bag and mail you home...

Still got wedding bells in your head?  Take my advise...  ifn she says "Does this dr..." You should ALREADY be gone at this point...

LOVE YA!!   -Mike

I laughed SOOO hard at that email.....

its a BOMB!!!!

I had a pretty good weekend. I taught facepainting at the conference at the church on saturday.
Then later that night I got to spend time with Melissa for the first time in about three weeks! (Amazing, I know.) We went to Marble Slab, and this girl Chelsea was working. I knew she looked familiar but I didnt know where from. She was asking about me and my family...blah blah blah, and the whole time Im like "I know this girl....". She even gave me and Melissa a fully stamped card for a free ice cream!!! It wasnt until after I left and askem Melissa where I know her from that I remembered that she worked in Awana a couple of years ago and had this HUGE crush on Ed. Ha!!! So thats why she asked about him... lol
Well, after Marble Slad we went to Gahagen Park just to sit and talk. It was getting dark... but there were lights n stuff, so I wasnt really worried. Here's kinda how a conversation between us went:

C: Hey, look! Is that a diaper bag? (It was just sitting on a bench with noone around. It was closed and there were some toys around it.)
M: Yeah, does it look like it belongs to anyone here?
C: Well, lets wait and see. If noone gets it by the time we leave we'll look to see who it belongs to.
---We hung around for about 45 minutes... a car came to the parking lot near us and parked. They stayed in the car. My guess is that there was a little bit of hanky panky going on...---
C: Okay, lets get that bag. **thought for a sec** You know- this would be the perfect way to drop off drugs. Im not touching that bag and leaving my prints on it just incase there IS drugs in there!
---So I get a leaf and a stick and unzip the bag...and what do I see!?!  Diapers!! Just then, the lights in the park go off!! They werent supposed to go off for atleast another hour.---
M: Run!!!!!!!
---We RAN to her car and just before getting in......
M: Wait!!!! What if theres a BOMB in there!!!??
C: I doubt it- just get in the car!
---We got in, locked the doors and booked it---

We went to my house. In the bag we found a cute little baby girls bathing suit, a sun dress, diapers, wipes, little hats... and a dog tag with a collar. There were also a bunch of BLANK stickers that said "This bag belongs to:" So we figured we could call the vets number and give 'em the ID# on it and see if we could get in touch with the owner.
I did that today. I called the vet, explained the situation, she called the owner and gave them my number. The lady called me and was sooo happy that we found the bag and she's gonna pick it up later.
So all that was a little bit of an adventure.
Yesterday, Sunday was kind of the average Sunday. Went to church, out to lunch, came home and took a nap... Then I went to youth for a little while. I got to see the trailer for the first time- pretty cool! Tristan was suprised that I was there...tee hee... :-D Then right after that we left for Inner Mission. It was a pretty good meeting... After that I went to the Ford's for a little while. That was fun. Im so glad Tristan's parents like me. ::whew::
Well, I have some stuff I need to take care of around here. Catch cha later all you cool cats.... mwah!

Oh- here's something else me and Melissa did when we were at my house. Its kinda twisted and sick. lol

i've got a smile in my pocket

I had a pretty good weekend. On saturday I went and volunteered at Water Missions International. They are an organization that makes water filters for countries that dont have clean water, and they were making some for the Katrina victims. So I went there with my mom and brother and I helped stuff about 2,000 envelopes asking for donations. Then I had McAllisters for dinner and ran into an old friend there. That was kinda cool.
Sunday was church. And after church, my family and the Ford family went out to lunch. There was no inner mission... so I took a nap. Then yesterday I was with Tristan most of the day. We watched some of Gone With the Wind (!!!!HA!!!!), had lunch, sat outside..... just spent time together. Then he came back over here after dinner and we watched some more of the movie, looked at pictures, went for a walk.... I just love being around him. He's one of those kinds of people that radiate happiness. And once you've been around that happiness- you're addicted to it. Im addic- Im addicted to youuu...  =P
Well, Im talking to that boy on the phone right now, so Im gonna go.
Buh byes!!

PS- there's a new fave...

HA!

Mike Keller, a resident of Biloxi, Mississippi, stands in the rain while mooning Hurricane Katrina just after dawn August 29, 2005. Katrina slammed into the Louisiana coast on Monday with 140 mile per hour winds as the powerful storm came ashore from the Gulf of Mexico and took aim at low-lying New Orleans. The coast, much of it lightly populated swamps, was being pounded with high winds and heavy rains while New Orleans, 55 miles northeast, braced for the worst of Katrina.
